The 59th annual Indy USBC Hall of Fame induction ceremony took place on November 8, 2025 at Primo Banquet Hall & Conference Center. The ceremony included a dinner and cocktail hour.
Indy USBC President Randy Barnhart served as master of ceremonies.
Indiana State USBC President Linda Isaacs served as induction officer.
Pastor at First Baptist Church Jerome Johnson presented the evening's invocation and benediction.
Joyce Zimmerman provided entertainment on the piano.
Four new members were inducted into the Indy USBC Hall of Fame: Brenda Mack, Benjamin Caldwell, Ronald Dwenger and Dan Smith. Mack & Caldwell were inducted for superior performance, Dwenger for senior superior performance and Smith for meritorious service.
BRENDA MACK
Brenda was born and raised in Indianapolis and graduated from Perry Meridian High School. She attended the University of Nebraska - Lincoln earning a BA degree in Psychology and Indiana University - Indy earning a BA in nursing. Brenda is currently employed by Franciscan Health - Mooresville Ambulatory Surgery Center as a Registered Nurse in the pre and post-op areas.
Brenda started bowling at the age of six at Sport Bowl where she was taught the fundamentals of bowling by her father, Ted Norman.
When not bowling, Brenda enjoys playing golf, watching movies, reading a good book and traveling with Tim, Lana and family. She loves watching her daughter, Lana, playing soccer.
Brenda has nine championships to her credit. On a local level, she has two Scratch Team titles. One in the 2012 Indy USBC Open City Championship Tournament and one in the 2014 Indy USBC Women's City Championship Tournament, and a Doubles Title in the 2024 Indy USBC Women's City Championship Tournament with Lisa Seyffarth.
On a regional level, Brenda was a member of the Baltimore - Vise Grips team that won the 1994-1995 World Team Challenge Regional Tournament, and she also won the 2002 PWBA Greater Terre Haute Open.
On a national level, while attending the University of Nebraska, Brenda was a member of the team winning the 1995 College Team National Championship. In 2005, she was a member of the team winning the WIBC Championship Tournament - Classic Division and a member of the team winning the 2011 USBC Women's Championship Tournament - Scratch Division.
Brenda was the first woman to shoot a 300 game in the Indiana State USBC Open Championship Tournament, was a member of the 1995 - 1996 National Collegiate Bowling Coaches Association Academic All American 1st Team, and has a tournament average of 214 in the USBC Women's Championship Tournament.
As of her induction, Brenda has shot ten 300 games, two 800 series with a high of 836, and a lifetime high average of 223.
BENJAMIN CALDWELL
Ben was born and raised in Elgin, Illinois, and is a graduate of Larkin High School. He graduated from Purdue University with a degree in Pharmacy. He is currently employed by Wolters Kluwer Health Care Information as a Pharmacist. Ben started bowling at the age of seven at Elgin Lanes in Elgin, Illinois
Ben has 11 championships to his credit. On a local level, in the Indy USBC City Championship Tournament, Ben holds four Team Scratch titles in 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023. He and his partner, Michael Bankert, won the 2020 Scratch Doubles title and in 2022, he won the Scratch Doubles title with Ron Dwenger. He has one Singles title, winning the 2023 Indy USBC Senior Masters Tournament. In 2022, he won the All Events title shooting scores of 712, 758 and 622 for a total of 2092. Ben has one handicap title winning the 2021 Indy USBC City Senior Tournament.
On the regional level, Ben and his partner, Joey Krzyworos, won the 2021 Super Bowl Doubles title at Championship Lanes and also in 2021, won the Singles title at the Hammer Scratch Open Tournament in Cincinnati, OH.
When not bowling, Ben enjoys playing golf and bike riding.
As of his induction, Ben has shot five 300 games, four 800 series with a high of 834, and a lifetime high average of 230.
RONALD DWENGER
Ron was born and raised in Indianapolis and is a graduate of Warren Central High School. He is currently retired from Meijer having worked in retail management for 45 years. Ron started bowling at the age of eight at Bowl-A-Mat.
Ron has seven championships to his credit. On a local level, he was a member of the team winning the Indy USBC City Championship Tournaments in 2022 and 2023. Ron also holds two Doubles titles in the Indy USBC Championship Tournament in 2022 and 2023.
In 1994, Ron and partner Vlademer Rusomaroff, won the Doubles title in the CITBA Tournament. Ron holds two Handicap titles winning the Indy USBC Senior City Tournament Class B in 2023 and 2024.
Ron was a member of the Indianapolis All City Team in 2014, and Captain of the Indianapolis Senior All City Team in 2022, 2023, and 2024.
When not bowling, Ron enjoys playing golf, spending time with family, and crusiing.
As of his induction, Ron has shot 65 300 games, 34 800 series with a high of 837, and a life-time high average of 240.
DAN SMITH
Dan was born and raised in Indianapolis and is a graduate of Warren Central High School. Dan was the manager of All Star Bowl from 1990 until 2003. In 2004, he and his wife, Star, purchased All Star Bowl and was the owner/manager until 2020. While manager of All Star Bowl, he hosted the Special Olympics Tournament, the National Blind Bowling Tournament and the 1999 WIBC National Queens Tournament.
Dan was one of the first board members of the newly formed Indy USBC Association in 2006, serving for three years. He served on the Indianapolis Bowling Council for six years as a director, two years as Vice President, and two years as President.
Dan was a member of the local Youth organization for 40 years and the state Youth organization for 5 years. He was heavily involved in both high school and middle school bowling, bowling summer camps, and coaching clinics sponsored by the IBCA. Dan coached many young athletes to Local, State, and National Championships.
Dan was a member of the Central Indiana Bowling Proprietors Association Local board for 40 years serving as Vice President for two years and President for two years. He was also a member of the Indiana Bowling Proprietors Association State Board for 12 years serving as Vice President for two years, and President for two years.
Dan was honored in 1989 as the IWBA Sponsor of the Year when he was the owner of American Graphics Communication.
Dan had a high game of 298, a high series of 760 and a life-time high average of 190. When not involved in bowling, Dan enjoyed baseball and basketball.
